35. Enlightenment in 3 steps.

This is just a way of writing as if realisation is an achievement that can be done stepwise. However, once there is a resonance in what is written, a clarity sets in, followed by some belief or frame of mind, that starts questioning the very belief of believing all that seemed to be true and this could lead to removal of ignorance.

Realisation, is just a dropping of the sense of ‘me’ or a individual entity, that was till then, seemed to be manipulating one's life as individual body mind with freewill and choice. This dissolving of the 'me-sense' to the body, also drops all the ‘you’s' and the ‘others’ feel to other bodies and there is a clarity in knowing that knowing of life is all there is and life operates by itself, as if this creation is a 'single' Being. We can say, all there is  -"Life" or God, or Aliveness or Awareness or THIS or 'what is happening'.

So here it goes :

First step : Understand that one's life is not limited to one’s body. How and why? Because seeing, smelling and hearing is happening outside the instrument of the body. If the body is an instrument of seeing or hearing, it has to be sensed within the frame of this instrument. Also -Touch and taste are happening at the skin level, emotions seemingly happens inside the body and finally thoughts - in an totally unknown area. Could be in cyber, but totally unknowable area.  So it is clear that body is directly not involved in the seeing and hearing. But seeing and hearing is happening and done by 'life'. Life as we know is a ‘no-one’ or no-thing and exist everywhere and nowhere in particular, doing the sensing as if centred around a body.

Second step : In the absence of an entity to a body, any relationship of things and people as 'mine' has only a notional meaning and has no physical reality to it. So my body, my car, my wife, my nation and my etcs are just a way of talking to enforce a notional 'me -sense' and has no other purpose. It is use only to poke an ego that doesn't have a 'real' existence but only an apparent one.  This means ownership ( or attachment ) has no deep meaning other than in the mental realm or unreal space.

Third step : To realise that if the above makes sense, then the meaning of all ‘me’s, you’s and other’s, as an attachment to respective bodies or life’s, fall away and seem to exist only as a figure of speech used by life when it speaks various bodies..

Conclusion : All there is  - is life. Life is playing all bodies and showing up as objects and also life is the one knowing them as content to the knowing.

Its ‘life’ that sees, hears, thinks, feel, cries, laughs etc and doesn't need a owner called ‘me’ to take credit of all seeing, hearing etc.  Also thoughts, created by life, seem to suggest that a person in charge is at the centre of all such knowing, that is separate from life. Thoughts are not true in this aspect. Their role is to generate a 'me -sense' while also interpreting the world of sensation as a world of real separate objects.

So, as mentioned in the scriptures, Life or God or Brahma is reality. World when seen in separation of God is unreal and when seen as expression of Life or God is Real. So Brahma is real, World is Unreal and Brahma is the world. Unreal, as seen in separation and real when seen as 'no-separation'.
