This is a good topic. We know God is Love, intuitively. But is there really an understanding of God and Love. Even before this, do we have an understanding of who or what we are.
Lets start with the assumption that there is this body/ mind and the outside world. This is a symptom of duality. Mind is largely an unknown area, but known intuitively. Body is known and feelings are known more diractly.
What are feelings. Feelings are some sort of energy arising in consciousness, that uses the body to express itself. Its the 'life' of a thought.Just like our body is made of blood and flesh, thoughts are made of feelings and emotions. Thoughts are alive and mostly interpreting what we are,what the world of object are and the relationship at that moment. It can relate to people and also things and bring about a reaction as a feel to the body.
Our Body is a reaction to the world of sensing and thoughts. Every action that it makes is actually a reaction, but apparently presents itself as an act of a separate body that is apparently negotiating the world of objects. Within the reaction, it is maintained to feel as a separate entity and thus have a resultant reaction that depicts its behaviour as of a separate person.
Life behave itself as the world of objects as well as that of a separate person and there is knowing of this in aliveness that this creation is. However the camouflage is so well maintained that separation on the external is made to be believed as the reality of creation, expressing itself as multitude of objects.
When creation is experienced as without separation, the structure that life uses to pretend as a person, dissolves. Then on life gets to be experienced without the feel of being separate from its external manifestation and the nature of this experience as a reaction to the body is very soothing. Love and compassion and wonder at the nature of play of Life is well appreciated and embodied, as if Love itself was the Being of creation, expressing itself as this world. This wonder could be none other than God, and then it is know that God is all there is and its nature is Love. God is the Being and Love its its texture. This is our natural state as we are not separate from the Creation that Life is, as an expression of God. God is Life and Life has Love, Peace and compassion as its feel or reaction that is monitored at the body.
When creation is seen in separation as if we are individuals and the world is separate from us, the state of experience is just an illusion of Life, which otherwise could be seen as a whole, expressing itself at all levels of creation so that the expression itself is the aliveness of Life.

Once this is clear, we can see how life is expressing itself. Life appears as conceptual objects and expresses as sensations or feelings in here. All there is - is this totality of what is happening, called life. This wholeness or life is also called God. God is life. All there is -is life or God.
However the taste of the pudding is in the eating and Life as wholeness is a matter of experience as an expression of life, which otherwise is too occupied expressing itself of individual bodies in wholeness, underlying all of which, is life itself as this and that.
So God is Real, The world in separation is unreal, since the world is just an expression of God and must seen as God itself. God is real, the world is unreal and God is the world, as expressed by the Masters.
