128. Thoughts and Things.

We know that thoughts are thoughts and thoughts are not ‘things’. We think thoughts are purely ‘mental’ and things are purely ‘physical’ or non-mental. But thoughts are what is giving the thingness to forms. Or else, ‘thing’ing is impossible.
Lets see what the term ‘thing’ means. It means ‘objective realness’, objective existence etc. But what’s objectivity and what’s existence? This is the root question.
Objective-ness   is conceptualization of form. We project our knowledge of what we know about the form, and experience our knowledge about the form, as its thingness. So, thingness which is the conceptualisation of form is our mental projection, or thought. So thingness of objects are thoughts about it, form memory or imagination. So what we see , is what’s within us, about what is outside of us. So we experience our thoughts, and live in that manner from birth to death. Since all humans do that, it becomes a ‘fact’.
Reality and facts are like ‘things’. They only exist in our mind and not out there. What lies outside is just perception, without separation and this is interpreted in separation by mind, as if they are all objects to a subject called ‘me’.
Existence is the same. Nothing exists in our absence and all existence demands our presence. Its our presence that brings about existence of whatever we say, as ‘exists’. There is an isness of all there is, without doubt, by they all disappear when we are ‘not’. So ‘we’ and ‘all there is’ are two names for one ‘aspect’. Hence inseparable.
We mentally add what is outside of current perception, like America and Africa, and also what is outside of current feel of time, like past and future, and make facts and events possible. Since it’s the only way , we experience life, it cannot be done away with or ‘rubbished off’. Or else, we will land in mental asylum, because the whole society sees truth in objects and events, as their mind interprets them.
The thought of my mother is not my mother and the thought of a tree is not a tree. We know this on a level of ‘intuition’. But we do not use this intuition. We get into depression, anxiety, emotional etc. because we value thoughts, as if reality is acting on us.
A man walking down the street, speaking to himself, is regarded violating this fundamental intuition, that thoughts are not real, because he speaks loudly to people, that do not exist. Then we look at ourselves, and tell ourselves, that ‘we are not like that’. That’s not correct, we are like that, acting on our thoughts, believing in the reality of our thoughts, and violating this fundamental truth, about what’s real and unreal.
So what should we do? Despise thinking?, No. No need. Just realise that they are unreal, and leave it alone. Thinking is not the only way to know. We know directly by intuition. Like when we are in love or hate etc. All the intelligence of the world is available to intuition. There is no need to present direct evidence to ‘reasoning’ to check it out,. Reasoning will always want to be its own Master, and continue, as an entity. But that’s how ‘I Business’ works. It does itself and gives itself an extension in thought, as if ‘real’. It loves that stupid game, for fun. Its as powerful as ‘God’ and so, cannot be taken to task. It will be stupid!.
So we need to understand the situation we are in, as a fictitious subject of fictitious object and live from there on. Good luck.
